This research area is focused on the the development of data driven solutions to support decision-making in public health, based on the analysis of geo-localized data relevant to spefic geographical teritories and populations, with different goals:

  • optimization of healthcare resources, with particular focus on emergency services
  • monitoring and prediction tools for the prevention of pandemic phenomena
  • exploring the spatio-temporal relation between non communicable diseases (cardiovascular and respiratory) and enviromental features, with a specific focus on pollutants and heat-waves, towards the planning of smart health cities.
